Here's one you won't hear again any time soon. The purpose of KFKX, Hastings, Nebraska, which was set up in 1923, was to pick up the shortwave signal from Westinghouse sister station KDKA and relay it on both SW and MW. Hence its promotion as "The First Re-Broadcasting Station in the World." KFKX also originated some of its own programming.
