Edward S. ("Ted") Rogers, Canadian 3BP, the inventor of the first American tube with an AC-operated filament that produced an acceptable low level of hum (1924-25) was recently honored on a stamp issued by the Canadian post office. The stamp (left) shows the tube in the foreground with a photo of the original Roger Batteryless Radio, its schematic diagram, and Rogers himself, in the background.
